Is it normal to not look forward to things in the same way?

i find that i dont get excited for events anymore they just come and go. only super profound things get me amped. and im not a depressed type of person i generally have a positive outlook but i guess it just feel as though sh*t doesnt have the same magic to it as being a kid. maybe something like ignorance is bliss. i just miss that magic. is this normal?

OMGF! I'm like that too, I used to get really excited and butterflies-in-my-tummy kinda thing, but now, even if my mum says something like, "We're going to Alton Towers (theme park) in the holiday!" I'll just think, "Oh, right, cool..." but I don't feel properly excited anymore.

Uh no! It's a symptom of the dreaded growing up. I know what you mean. When you're a kid and relatively innocent to the world around you, things feel that much more special and exciting.

What kind of "super profound things" still get to you?
