Is it normal to not like yogurt?

I know it is really healthy and good for you but I just don't like it. I have tried different flavors and brands and just don't like it. I have never met anyone else who doesn't like yogurt. It seems like everyone likes yogurt. Any tips? IIN?

Try the fruit and yogurt parfait from McDonald's. It's pretty good. But if you just don't like yogurt, don't try to force yourself into eating it. There are other foods that offer the same nutrition.

And yeah, it's normal not to like yogurt. My mom doesn't like it either.

I disagree dappled with your statement that English speaking nations are largely the only consumers. Europeans, in certain areas, (e.g. France) eat cheese with most every meal. Have you ever eaten Indian or Thai food? A fair amount of their Asian dishes are in fact made with yogurt (e.g. curry dishes). Many many countries are dairy consumers.
For the poster: of course it's normal to have certain foods that you like or dislike!

Try Chobani, Greek yogurt. I really like the strawberry. But, due to lactose intolerance, I can't have it too often. So I take a probiotic once a day.

i really thing yogurt is soo disgusting! i even tried to like it b/c i thought it would be good for weight loss but every time i smell it, i think someone has thrown up. it really all smells like throw up to me, no matter what flavor. If I smell it, i gag...every time.

Is the frozen or children's yogurt as healthy as the 'normal adult' yogurt? I may have to try that.

The majority of the world doesn't like yoghurt, or milk, or cheese. English-speaking people tend to, though. One interesting point is that the Chinese say that we all smell like sour milk because of our diet.

The addition of dairy produce is quite a recent thing in our evolution and we're not especially evolved to cope with it (hence lactose intolerance). The question is not about whether you are normal for not like yoghurt, but are the rest of us normal for eating it.

It's ok to not like it. Just get your calcium in other ways. Milk. Cheese. If you really want to try to force it try making a smoothie. 1/2 cup low fat vanilla yogurt. Splash of low fat milk. Add a handful of fruit that you like. I like strawberries and bananas. But you can try blackberries. Raspberries. Etc. Sometimes I'll use a splash of chocolate milk and a banana. Also very good. Another idea is to try dipping fruit into the yogurt like grapes or strawberries. That helps with the funky texture and can help with the taste.
