Is it normal in that I do not like the taste of alcohol. It doesn't taste good. I know people drink it for the buzz it creates, but do people actually like it's taste ?
I like gancia and vodka and frizee and strawberry licor, but I hate beer!

idk what drummerguy is talking about. Alcohol has a taste. If you drink cranberry juice, and then cranberry juice with vodka, you WILL taste the difference.
I like the taste of wine. And if I'm in the mood, such as when I'm eating pizza and watching football, then I do enjoy the taste of an occasional ice cold beer. But why do you think people take shots and use chasers? Because alcohol is gross.
I think it disgusting, it's one of those thongs that takes a while to get use to, for example black coffee
Mostly the taste is disgusting. If it's sweet and I can't taste the alcohol then it's worth drinking.
It does have a taste indeed, and you may either like that taste or you don't. I do, but I can imagine others don't.

Spirits can be a bit overpowering if taken neat, but a cold pint of really good quality beer on a warm day is almost my idea of heaven. I used to take a sip of my dad'd when I was a kid and always swore I'd never drink something that tasted so bitter and nasty.
On the other hand, alcohol is not something we're really evolved to drink (not in the quantities or strengths we do, anyway).
Believe it or not I do like the taste... But I think most people just do it for the buzz as you were saying.
