Is it normal to not like the beatles?

As a person who is, and always has been, and always will be, an admirer of Classic Rock (60s-mid to late 90s), I love pretty much every kind of music that takes actual talent to play (I.e Not pop, rap/hip-hop. Other than Outkast maybe). There a few songs here an there that I don't really like, but I honestly think the Beatles are the only major BAND that I dislike almost every song from. Why are they held so high and mighty..? I don't see it.

    They're catchy, insightful and orginial. More so (the latter) than the stones, who were essentially the blues played with electric guitar when they started. I don't see what's not to like :P But hey whatever.

    In my honest opinion, The Stones did it better. That's the way I see it.

    I have to admit they sound similar, and I can totally hear that, having a reasonably well trained musical ear, but I feel like even though they're so similar The Stones refined The Beatles style.

    Would anyone say I'm out of line in saying that, or do others feel the same way?

    That is such a coincidence! I was JUST talking to my friends about how I really don't like the Beatles and they were all like, "You're crazy" but I think they're the crazy ones.

    Normal of course. We all have different likes.

    I really don't like U2. I understand, accept, and respect the impact of their work. But, I don't enjoy their music.

    I get it, it is okay, not everyone is going to agree on music types. I think having that respect for a positive message or making a positive change for the people and the world we live in is the important part.

    I don't like them either. I like some of their songs but I think they looked stupid, especially PM with his silly small mouth.
    I believe they are held so high and mighty because they somehow made important changes and developments in music/bands.

    It's fine that you don't like them. The world would be unutterably terrible if everyone liked the same thing. They're seen as popular because a lot of people do like them, though. As long as they allow you to not like the very thing they like, and as long as you accept that they like things you don't, everything will be okay.

    The Beatles are very good. It seems just a bit strange considering you're the only person I've even seen that hates the Beatles. Even my friend that's obsessed with Lady Gaga likes the Beatles...I don't really care, it just feels weird to meet someone who hates the Beatles.
