Is it normal to not like all these things at my age?

I'm a 24 year old woman and I have a big problem with food. It probably stems from my childhood when my mom and dad would cook me another dinner if I didn't like what they were having; I don't like a lot of vegetables and fruit. The list is ridiculously long and I'm ashamed of it. Whenever I visit someone who is serving food, it's most likely that whatever they put in front of me, I have to force down my throat in order to eat. And most of the time it will make me nauseated.

I don't like tomatoes, onions, peas, garlic, beans of any kind, peppers, paprika, celery, chives, turnips, broccoli, cauliflowers, corn, cabbages, aubergines, pineapples, pears, bananas, oranges, strawberries, cherries, raspberries and more.

What I do like: apples, carrots, mandarins, most types of lettuce, grapes, potatoes and cucumbers. THAT'S IT. There is also a variety of meat I don't like. Most with lots of fat.

I've tried to get used to some tastes and there are a lot that I just couldn't handle. Those include tomatoes, paprika and onions. Strawberries I'm working on, mandarins are fine now though they were also in the don't like list until a few years ago. I don't know why I can't handle some tastes that nearly everyone around me likes. I am the only adult I know that is this weird about food. And it's embarrassing! Is there anyone else out there that feels the same or am I alone about this?

I eat everything, it's all good.

Try the 'pretend' technique. Just pretend you do like eg. strawberries, eat them and pretend your enjoying them you might trick your brain into liking them.

Lets put it this way: its normal for someone whose parents let them be finnicky eaters. My niece is the same way. It could also be some people are just wired differently, and their taste bud/brain connection does actually make certain foods nasty to them. The great thing about being an adult is, you can eat what you want. I personally don't think its a big deal.

I'm like this, I can't stand onion which sucks because it's so common. The only veg I will eat is corn, runner beans and green beans but I eat a ton of fruit.
I'm the only person I know who hates the taste of chicken, I find I have to have it with something strong tasting or a sauce,

I wish I liked more stuff, I always feel really immature when at a restaurant. I find I can eat things as a component that I won't eat on its own, I hate tomato but like pizza etc.
I'm always up for trying New cuisines but I'm embarrassed by how many things I hate.
