I was chatting with a friend and I told her I bought a Beatles CD, since she didn't said anything about it I asked her "Do you know The Beatles?" To my surprise the answer was no. Nothing at all, music, lyrics, people, videos, nothing at all.
Is it normal to NOT know The Beatles?
She more than likely may have heard one of their songs but just not know who they are.
When I was growing up it was a big debate on who you liked better. The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. Each band had the great moments. I liked the Beatles best.

Personally, I absolutely love their music and I listen to them often. For those of you who don't like them, at least recognize their influence on music. They are simply amazing. <3

It's normal if your friend spent her entire life living in a cave, or if she's like 7 years old. Even my 9 year old nephew knows who they are.

It's not normal, but they had disbanded before most of us were even born. They'll be less-known as time goes on. How many people know who Bessie Smith is, for instance? Or Jenny Lind? Or Robert Fairfax?
