Is it normal to not know how to make new friends?

I don't think its normal,
But i really only have one friend that i ever wanna hang out with.there's a handful of others who don't live close/arent good friends...
Qualities better than quanity but one person can't always be there.
How do u make friends when your not in school or anything?i work, that's about it. Not a bar person, don't live around much to do to meet people...

    You can meet friends anywhere, on the street, bus stop, mall. I think the best place for you would be to join a club like some sport or team you can make plenty of friends there and gain a hobby or skills in the process.

      Putting yourself out there is often given as the solution for people who have trouble making friends. But this often isn't enough. Without the actual skills to make friends, putting one's self out there is just going to result in more frustration and hopelessness.

    You could volunteer at an animal or homeless shelter, or at a zoo or anywhere you might be helpful. That would get you to where other people are and you would be helping others.
