Is it normal to not know how to date?

Hi! I've been single my entire life. I'm 19. I want to start dating but I don't know how. I don't know if I have a type but tbh I find the perfect men in books, movies and tv shows. Or I at least mix all their qualities and everything together to create the perfect man but I know nobody is perfect in reality. I don't know how to flirt and I'm pretty shy especially when it comes to guys I'm attracted to. I've never been on a date. How do I become ready to date? How do I know if a guy is trustworthy enough for a first date or another? How do I know if a guy is into me and not just into the idea of me or fucking me? How do I get a guy to make the first move or how do I make the first move?
