i started at 16. umm unless you're underweight, you might have a hormone problem. You might even have male pseudohermaphroditism where you're immune to testosterone so you're actually a guy, but your body only reacts to estrogen so you have female characteristics. One more thing...if you have a penis, you can stop waiting for your period since you didn't specify your gender. =)

"You might even have male pseudohermaphroditism where you're immune to testosterone so you're actually a guy..."

That has got to be the worse way in the history of language to break it to someone that there is a chance that she may be a male. I laughed so hard I cried.

I loved the way you worded it, you'd make an awesome doctor instead of the ones who just beat around the bush for twenty five minutes then gets to the bad news.

you might also want to see if there's any family history of say.... "very beautiful women who never have children" (etc).

if there is such a history... you might want to ask your doctor for a DNA test to determine if you're XX or XY.

I started when I was about nine. Do you have anorexia?

I have it and I usually don't get my period for about 6-10 weeks.

You must be anorexic coz your body decides that you are at puberty when you reach between 98-105lbs. Apparently fat increases oestrogen so... if this is not the case, get to a doctor.

      (I'm not the Op)

I have it. I usually do get my period for a long time. It's about 6-10 weeks until I get it.
This has been happening for a few years now, that's why when I comes a bit sooner I get freaked out! I honestly wish that I wouldn't get it at all...

Cerazette tablets which is a mini pill stops your periods altogether for 90+% of women. Fantastic! You don't ever stop taking them or have a week off. They are usually recommended for women with irregular or heavy periods - especially for those over 40.

        Fantastic!!
