Is it normal to not have many girls chase you and make the first move?

First off, I think Im a fairly good looking guy. Most girls say Im about a 8/10. However, Im kind of on the shy side when approaching girls that I dont know, so it makes it hard for me to meet a lot of girls unless they come to me. I often wait for them to make the first move and come to me before I show them interest. Im wanting to know if its normal for a guy to have to work for a girl and initiate the first interest the majority of the time?

    yea most of the time chicks dnt make the first move unfortunatly so u godda talk to them, but have no fear for we all beleive in you!

    Absolutely normal; the only women I ever had chasing me was when I had a gf or wife, and they would bottle up their feelings until it exploded into something like: 'Let's fuck in the bathroom while your gf waits outside' or some other stalker nonsense.

    I never got the normal kind where a decent, sane, together woman just asked to go out on a date.

      Wow which ever woman has asked u that while u had a gf is a rude, raunchy, whore! I hate when girls do that shit... It's SO disrespectful and they actually think its okay...

    Make eye contact with them and hold it and smile! If they hold eye contact as well and smile back, their interested. Just go talk to them... A simple "hey" followed by a non-threatening question works wonders. The more you do it, the easier it gets. From experience, I have social anxiety so I know where ur coming from... But through my experience of overcoming it, I realized most people are fairly nice. So don't worry! As long as they smile it's all good.

    I think it's cute when guys are shy I mean I will say hi when I past them and smile but other than that the guy has to make the first move unless me and my friends go out lookin for cute guys to flirt with cause that is really fun but I think some of the cutest guys are shy

    I wait for guys to make the first move on me sometimes, but If I really like him I'll go for it. It depends on the girl Id say, but it's normal that you're shy. Just try to put yourself out there.

    I agree with the chick up there, girls always wait for the guy to make the first move. Or atleast the girls that are worth your time do. You dont nessisarly have to make the first move. you could make eye contact and smile. That will show the girl that you are interested. Walk over to where she is standing and say hey. You never know, the girl may take the lead after words. It wont be so hard on you. (:

    I love when guys make the first move... Actually, I don't think I've ever been the one to chase someone around or even make the first move... But either way if you see a girl you like then it would be a good move to step up buddy :)

    My girlfriend made the first move.. Doesn't mean anything. Of course most of them want the guy to go for them but there are girls who will make their move first.
