Is it normal to not have had flawless skin since my first period?

Hi! I need help. Tips and suggestions. I haven't had flawless skin since my first period in the 6th grade....I'm 19 now. I'm so insecure about my face. I've done all I could to clear it up. I've used: acne clearing products, ate healthier and exercised. I'm still that dorky pizza face little person from school. I have acne, dark, baggy eyes, sometimes dry skin even with lotion, and my face isn't firm. I don't feel approachable at all. I have to put loads of foundation just to cover up and it still doesn't work. Please help.

Don't worry, and it's quite normal. I had the same thing at your age. And yet, if this is often repeated or you want to get rid of uneven skin, then you can:
    Make exfoliation of the skin
Follow a clean diet without fatty food
    Use good skincare
If you want to learn more - here is a detailed guide on how to fix uneven skin tone (:

You need to eat well. No processed food or drinks. Take control of what you eat, instead of just eating what's put into your plate by someone or even your mom. Take charge!

Your face is going to look like swiss cheese for the rest of your life if you don't follow my previously posted advice.

Do you shower daily? I've noticed there is a strong correlation acne and not showering

Showering has nothing to do with that.

Yes I do. I also read to not use ache clearing products every time I wash my face and to use regular soap every other time so I do that.

There is no need for any artificial manmade products.

Periods mess with your hormones and the natural chemistry of your body. This causes things like yeast infections, acne, weight gain, change in appetite, heat flashes, bloating, stomach ache, headaches. It's annoying but its normal. If you mean in general AFTER you started having periods all together that's called puberty. Yeah, puberty sucks and it sucks to get hair in funny places and sexual attraction and acne. Boys have to deal with annoying acne and other problems after sexually maturing as well. We all have to deal with puberty. Its gross, it's annoying, it just happens.

Really? When? There's a lot of people my age, older and younger with flawless skin. They all hit puberty.

The effects of puberty are more severe for some than for others. Like some people have a higher sex drive for example. We all go through it though.

Around college usually. If it doesn't by then, there are creams and products that can reduce the amount of blemishes and etc.

May you please give me some examples? I know everyone's skin type is different but I'd like to know what helps others skin so I can try other products.

I heard proactive and neutrogena works well.
Also, make sure to test it on a site other than your face when trying it out for the first time. It's in case of an allergic reaction. So test it on maybe a small part of your arm and hand first.
