Letting them get scratched up to the extreme?

I do get new glasses at least once every 3 years and in about 6-7 months, I will most likely get new ones, but the current ones are behind repair. They are scratched to the extreme.

Is it normal to just leave them in my bag letting them get all scratched up and not worrying? They didn't start to get super scratched until 3 months back(had them for nearly 2 years now).

    Well, I don't take off my glasses during the day, but if I were you, yeah, I think you should put them in a case, it saves them from annoying scratches

    I don't use my glasses case at all but that's because I am always wearing them, I think you should get a case for them.

    I don't put my glasses in a case, but they don't get scratched because I always put them on a flat surface when I take them off.
