Is it normal to not give date or time when asking someone go do things

Ok this irritates the hell out of me , I can not stand this . I hate when someone says " want to go to the movies " and you say something like " Can I have a date please " ? or " please give me a date " or that " I would need a date " . Than they says something idiotice like " I want to hang out at the movies " ? and you repeat " I need to know the date to go " and they say " I want to be your freind " ? and I say no " a date as to when to go to the movies " and they say " you like me " ? and I say no a day when to go ? and they say " day for what " ? I swear to god would this not irritate the hell out of you this is driving me insane . I have lost my ability to deal with poeple any more . Am I just being a bad person I can not stand it I keep getting this I can not tell is it me or is it irritating that someone would not think that thier is not other meanings for the word " Date " ?

Um, calm down. Sometimes people just mention hanging out casually and don't have an exact date and time in mind. Usually what will happen is you say 'yeah, I'd like to hang out sometime'....then you call or text one another one day and make a plan. A lot of people don't have their planners out and at the ready for casual hang-outs. A lot of people don't like to make solid plans for hanging out, shit comes up that's more interesting all the time so it's best to just wing it. Just say yeah, and exchange numbers and CALM THE FUCK DOWN. You sound obsessed.

Yeah, I got that. I need the exact time. Like what day and what time you wanna go.

No, seriously, can I have a date, please? I need a date. An exact date.

Its normal. Maybe you shouldn't use the word "date" anymore and instead use the word "when". I stopped asking people to set up a time and date because my male friends thought I was hitting on them. It got me into deep shit.

Its irritating though isnt it ? Also I started using the word date cuase my mom always says it that way and does not like it when I say it wrong so I started adjusting to my parents way of talking but apperenlty most of my freinds are not smart enough to tell the diffrent between " Go out with me " and " Set a date for the plans please " .

Yep that's why I changed the words I say. If you have to, dumb it down for them to understand.
