Is it normal to not feel bad when hearing about rich people going bankrupt?

When I hear a story about some rich bloke losing all his cash, i always seem to think to myself "lol yeah get fucked nerd", I get satisfaction knowing that someone once had all the money in the world and now they have nothing. Brings me genuine joy at times

is this unhealthy?

Rich people don't go bankrupt. Broke ones do.

Companies can go bankrupt and the owner largely escape the effects (or even profit from their company in the process).

Just because a person has a lot of cash flow and lives way in debt does not make them rich; although they may appear to be rich. In reality, many of these people have very low or negative net value in solid investments (they have no wealth).

Always remember to check the fruit on the tree... not just appearances.

That's how Capitalism works make smart decisions with your money and your good. Make stupid decisions with your money and your toast. People need to be reminded that the rich are not their friends. They are money hungry individuals who have no idea of the struggles facing the working class.

It's not very noble to get pleasure from the discomfort of others, but it's pretty common, particularly if you believe the sufferer deserves it in some way.

There's even a word for this feeling in German that's used by some English-speakers: schadenfreude.

Going bankrupt doesnt necessarily mean you lose all your money. You can file for bankruptcy strategically
