Is it normal to not do number 2's in a public restroom

If I have too go I go. I'd rather shit in a public restroom than in my pants. :D

Don't want my ass touching the seat, which is usually nasty.
And sometimes the floor is sticky and wet too, and we all know that's not fountain water.
If I really have to go though I always put toilet paper all over the seat and on the floor if I don't want to get my pants dirty.

I can't hold it in. it has too come out when it has to come you have no choice. most public toilets are cleaner then your home toilet even though they don't look like it.

i hate public restrooms smells like shit and poop stains all over the place and they never flucsh and they drop the toilet paper in the floor the dorrs dont lock

I remember I dropped an absolute bomb in a McDonald's restroom one time and it seemed like everyone was flowing in like rush hour to take a piss. All I hear is god damn this and holy hell do you smell that. Public restrooms are good when you need them but I'm sure everyone prefers their own private spot

I went to secondary school for 5 years and never used the toilets for a number 2. The cubicles didn't lock properly.

It is totally normal! I have the exact same fear you do. It has got better with age, but going #2 in a public bathroom, or any bathroom that isn't mine, is totally a no-no! Unless I cannot hold it, I WILL NOT go anywhere else because of embarrassment and feeling uncomfortable. I cannot relax enough to actually go. Even at family member's houses I have a problem going. Fortunately enough, I don't go the so called average of "3 a day." I'd be lucky if I went more than 3 times a week! I actually had a problem when I was younger and still to this day with even peeing in a public bathroom! When I have to pee when I'm shopping for instance, it takes me quite a while to go because I'm always afraid of someone hearing the tinkle, lol. It was a big problem for me growing up and in school. The only way I'm able to go in a public place is telling myself that everyone does it and no one can get away with being totally silent! Also, most of the time I tell myself that by the time I'm done, the person who heard me will probably be done and gone themselves before I even get out of the stall so they more than likely don't know who I am and won't see me when I come out. But, sometimes I wait until everyone is out and then try to go until the next person comes in. Anyway, yes it's totally normal and I'd even say probably about 60-75% of people share this same fear. I haven't totally overcome this fear yet, so I can't really suggest anything besides just telling yourself "who cares if they hear or smell me, everyone does it!". It gets better with me day by day. haha your nightmare was a reality for me one day. My bf and I were planning on going to a restaurant later in the day a while back. I am OBSESSED with hot cheetos and I happened to have some at home that day. I knew I shouldn't have eaten them but I couldn't resist. I have gastritis so eating spicy food is bad for me but like I said I'm obsessed with hot cheetos.

When we got to the restaurant I had to use the bathroom really bad. (#2) My stomach was on FIRE and I couldn't hold it. The thing is, the bathroom was small and only had two stalls. I'll skip the nasty stuff but some girl walked in and freaked out (>.> hehe). I stayed in there for a while after she left b/c I didn't want her to know it was me that was in there. Peeing doesn't bother me after that experience.

Now I only do #2 in public bathrooms with a ton of stalls and I'll flush or wait till someone flushes to go. I also keep spray in my purse so it doesn't smell. Other people aren't so kind I've heard a million woman taking shyts so loud it's like really? You're not even going to try to be polite? XD

I'm the same way. I say it's normal. I even hate peeing in public, etc.

I try to manipulate around having to go in a public place, like drinking less water, going right before leaving, etc. However, if I do catch it at a bad time, that's OK. The bathrooms are usually clean enough to pull my pants down completely and just cover the seat with toilet paper. When they're not, I take the handicap stall with taller toilets (quickly, hoping nobody comes in who needs it).

I can't do it either and I'm getting to the point where I tried to avoid all public loos. I really hate them and when I use them I can't sit on them. Who wants to take a shit standing up?! I imagine that to be very messy and gross!

My brother has to go at home. He says its because he has to take his pants all the way off or its weird

I could probably count, on less than two hands, the amount of times I've went number two at school before. At a restaurant is a bit different, but still very few times in all.

I know so many people that is like this.
Honestly, for me, if I need to crap, I need to crap. I think if you listen to music and get into your own world (or out of the 'real' world where people might come in to the washroom) it helps sometimes.

I hate the rare times I can't hold it in and have to go public. Just the thought of sitting on that cold public seat makes me feel yuck. Only thing worse is if it's warm.
