Is it normal to not dance when everyone else is?

When I was little I was yelled at for not dancing with the other kids at a party, ever since then when ever everyone is dancing I feel like I can't. I don't know why, I mean I want to dance, i just can't. Not that I haven't since the incident, a few times I've been drunk and danced the night away but I don't feel like I've truly been myself.

I LOVE to dance- when there is a highly choreographed routine and it's either jazz or lyrical or contemporary.

Otherwise, NO. I have no natural movement in my body that can randomly dance to a song (unless the song is epic). I don't understand how people can just freestyle to any song. I joined a dance team in college and they expected me to do this and I couldn't so I had to quit.

Yea, I think it is normal. But, you should conquer your fear so that you can have some fun dancing with ppl and expressing yourself. Then, you should tell me how you conquered your fear so that I will be able to dance with everyone, too.
