Is it normal to not cry in a sad movie but only when..

Ok so apparently I can only cry when there is a sad movie about animals. For ex. when an owner has to leave its pet behind and they start crying and I start crying. But for some reason I can't cry when it's about a person or child or family... My mom says I'm mean but idk... IIN? Because I always do this! I didn't even cry during the Titanic! I did cry over E.T though o.O

    E.T. Makes me bawl...as does Where the red fern grows. Can't handle sad animal movies lol.

    lol, i'm the same. the stuff that happens with people doesn't usually affect me, but the animals do. when i watched firestarter i thought the saddest part was the horses freaking out in the burning barn.
