Is it normal to not care about eating or drinking?

Sometimes when I get really focused on something, and really concentrate hard, I don't notice that I get hungry. Or I do notice, but I can easily put it off for hours on end.
Then hours later I realise I really should eat something because it hurts and I feel nauseous.

It's the same with drinking. I know I am constantly dehydrated - dry mouth - but that's because I forget to drink and I'm just used to it.

Sometimes I do it, because I have a pretty hectic day, get up at 6:30am and I often get to about 3pm and realise I haven't eaten or drank anything much.
By that point I feel really bad.

Is it normal to be able to put it off like this? I don't have an eating disorder or anything. I just don't think about it until it gets really bad.

For the love of god I thought you were on a radical diet. Yes this is normal, Stop worrying, but remember to grab something to eat and some water every so often.

This is a normal phenomenon as a result of stress or of being particularly interested in something. As previously mentioned it is not healthy though. Try setting your watch alarm for mealtimes so that you do not forget. Also, always keep a water bottle with you - in your sight line. The more you see it, the more you will be reminded to drink it. In rare cases, some people do not feel the sensation of hunger or thirst, if this is happening go to your doctor.

It's normal but not healthy. I do it but I only change when I start losing weight as the first thing I lose is my boobs, I do not want to look like a boy!
