Is it normal to not be over your ex, even after 10 months?

I dated this guy for almost two years. We were each other's best friends, and we shared everything. We even gave our virginities to each other. We had a great relationship, but for some reason, everything fell apart. Even though I'm the one who broke up with him, I still feel depressed about it. It's been 10 months and I still feel like crap, though he's moved on and fallen in love with another girl.
Is it normal to be stuck in the past like this? Should I try to move on, or hold onto these feelings and hope to get him back?

Of course, now that you left him and he's chilling, happy, and doing his own thing your jelly.

It's definitely normal. 2 years is a long time to be with someone. Just give yourself more time, it's okay. There isn't really a set time to get over someone.

I have a friend who couldn't get over an ex for more than five years.

It's normal for your first true love, but it gets easier when he is replaced by another, but of course, he will always have a special place in your heart
