Is it normal to not be entirely comfortable with shaving

I'm a girl and I've shaved before but it got all itchy and I had a rash.
I trim and all now instead but I think it looks weird so I don't know what to do..
I know everybody shaves and I get really paranoid when my boyfriend touches me around that area just in case he can feel the hair :/
I know I sound retarded :L

It is normal to be uncomfortable with shaving down there!

My skin is really sensitive so I have to be super careful. What I do is put unscented lotion on a while before I get in the shower so it can soak in & the skin won't break as easily. Then when you're in the shower, it sounds odd but use conditioner (ideally a mild, moisturizing formula) instead of soap or shaving cream and shave the way the hair grows rather than against it.

Then once you get out, put more lotion on it & voila! No itchy!:)

pretty disgusting for a guy to lick it and have pubs on the tongue, i shave for the girls not to be disgusted and i think ladies should too.

Make sure you're using shaving cream or at least body wash, and a good razor. And also put lotion on after? See how that works and if It's still causing you pain/rashes don't shave. Personally I don't feel clean if I don't shave down there,,, But that's just me. I doubt he has a problem with the hair if he hasn't mentioned or hinted at it... But if you're insecure about it ask him. If he's touching down there it shouldn't be too hard to talk about it.

Try putting lotion on after you shave south, it really helps.

Hmm I guess waxing will be better for you... keeps the hair away longer and don't itches! Also some guys don't mind body hair at all!

It all depends on the guy, But most I know don't really like hair. And if your going to shave don't shave against the hair it will give you razor burn. Shave the way it grows.

I am a long timer married crossdrewsser, and I have been "sans hair" for eons.. Of course if you shave occassionaly, you are going to get a rash from the "incoming" hair factors.. You have to shave on a very regular bases, and after a while it does become a fact that hair will cease to grow..
As I said, I've been sans hair for a ton of years, and the only place I ever see ANY regrown now, is between my "small boobs"...

No one minds a shaved vagina. Some guys mind a hairy one. It only itches if you don't shave it every day. Ask your boyfriend.
