Is it normal to not be attracted to black people

I am not racist or anything. I'm related to black people and I think they're awsome. But I just don't find them attractive. I don't mean to be rude but they smell bad, and their hair is greasy and I hate how it feels. I guess some black guys are okay, but most black girls, eww. They repulse me, Im sorry I know its horrible. Im not racist I just can't be attracted to them.

Racism is a weird thing. Some people think racism is saying bad things about another race. It isn't. Racism is denying people opportunities based solely on their race. Like, "you can't have this job because you're Italian and I don't like Italians".

But then, you're denying someone the right to be with you because of your personal preference. I do think you absolutely have that right. Nobody should force you to be with someone you find unattractive.

Yet by the same token we say that employers should employ people not of their personal preference (we'd refer to it as prejudice, not preference). Are we saying that morals vary depending on whether you are dating someone or employing them?

Yes I agree. It is also an oppinion if I beleive they arn't attracted. I am half japanese and people say stuff about asians and how ugly they are but it dosen't mean they're racist. It is just an oppinion.

Wow, I've never heard anyone refer to Asians as ugly. Quite the opposite.

" they smell bad, and their hair is greasy and I hate how it feels. "

So you're not a racist. Yet you've decided everyone with black skin smells bad and has greasy hair?

Perhaps it's time to look up the following words: stereotypes, prejudice, and racism

Amen. I was just going to put that. That's being racist.

        Indeed.

It's like saying, "I'm not hitting you!" while punching someone in the face. Claiming one thing while doing the exact opposite does not add truth to the claim, but disproves it.

Racism is thinking your race is superior than the other, which is not the case. It is an oppinion to not be atteacted to them and those are all genetic facts they tend ro have more oil in their hair and it is a different texture. Come on we should all know this

No. That's just someone making statements and then claiming them as "facts" to justify their own continuation of stereotypes.

Thats not racism. You're telling me that black people do not genetically have different hair texture? You're wrong

"they smell bad, and their hair is greasy and I hate how it feels" i would love to give you an educational lecture but im tired of explaining things intelligently to ignorant people like you.

you might not be a racist but you are a small minded idiot at least!

It is just an oppinion. Although, It is actually true that black people have more oil in their hair. It is genetics, and their hair do have a different texture.

it's just frustrating being black and seeing people say you smell without even ever being around you to know that. it's said as if all black people smell & not a single white person does. it just sounds really brainless to me that people still don't realise how unintelligent they sound when they generalise a whole race.

all it does is offend innocent people & makes whoever is generalising look like an idiot who doesn't put a lot of thought into what they believe .

    It's just preference. I don't think you're a racist.

It's not racist. Unless you think your race is superior.

Is it racist to think white people mixing with black people is gross? I can't stand it it looks so unnatural to see a black/white couple.

I don't generally have a problem with black people though otherwise.

Where's the racist line? I don't think it's black white (no pun intended) but grey. Racism is subjective.

I personally don't think being against race mixing is inherently racist, but some people might think it is.

    It's your preference.
    So, it is normal.

I would not date a black man at this time in my life.
But, have dated a few AA's in my early days.

Some people like brunettes, some like blondes. Some prefer tall and some prefer short. Who you're attracted to/not attracted to doesn't make you a racist. You should, however, choose your words more carefully as some of the statements you made above could be considered racism to some people.

i'm white and by no means am i racist. but in high school i made an extremely nice black female friend, and later found out she liked me, but i didn't act on it, and then she asked me to be boyfriend/girlfriend, and i agreed because she was a great person, but i was never physically attracted to her and it didn't work out. she had an amazing body but mainly her facial structure and hair just didn't do it for me, and i have never seen a 100% black person that i'm attracted to, but i am attracted to 'black' girls who have 1/4 or 1/2 any other race in them

I'm a white man with a black partner. Skin is not in the way of the love we have.

Yah I don't judge by skin color, I just don't find them attractive. I've dated one black guy, he was okay.
