i ran into one of my moms old boyfriends a while back and i wasnt angry at him even though as a small child through early teens he beat me quite badly, on several occasions blacking out and waking up in the hospital from my "violent tendencies twards others" anyway is it normal i did not really feel anger twards him, just kind of oh yeah i remember you. your a dick. kind of way

        You can be mature in some areas and not in others. Accepting the past is very mature. You cant be angry about it forever. Since nothing is going to change it. Getting said person arrested might bring justice but plotting revenge and how to hurt someone who wronged you for years just makes you bitter. After awhile you just accept it and move on with your life. You cant let one awful person take your life from you. I hope you have a better future and a wonderful life and Its good you are not letting this ruin you. However you are right to be cautious of these type of people.
