Is it normal to not be afraid of death?

For some reason I'm not afraid of death... Most people I talk to find it strange that I feel this way but I can't help it. The process of dying frightens me, but being dead doesn't because I am comfortable with what I beleive comes after. is it normal to not be afraid of death?!

I'm not afraid of death either. For a long time I didn't realise what it actually means to die (doesn't mean i do now, i just imagined it once) but one night the realisation came crashing down one night, and I got really scared of just disappearing. Turns out i don't believe in life after death, and the feeling of nothingness after you die frightened me. To be forgotten by everyone and just disappear as if you were never there. But then I thought that if i lead my life the way I want to, I won't be scared. I'll be content.

i am not afraid of death because i know it happens to everyone. why be scared of something that will one day happen. everyone on the planet will die one day so why spend your life being afraid of it when you can just accept it and get on with it

There are few people in this world that aren't afraid of death, especially when they are satisfied with their belief of what will come after. Though a human being won't mind what happens to them if they are comfortable with what happens to them after, it can be still normal from someone else's view. It is in fact normal to not be afraid of death.
