Is it normal to not be able to sleep after...

Is it normal to not be able to sleep after a fight with the girl friend? After a fight, any fight really, could be a small arguement, I find it hard to sleep, I lay In bed and just don't get tired so I end up thinking about the argument and what we talked or yelled at about. On average I'd pass out around 2 or 3 am. But we got into a fight last night and broke up. It's over, it wasn't that great of a relationship I know, but I can't sleep, it's 4 am and I can't get her outta my head. So how normal is it...? Just curious and doing something jus to pass the time till I eventually do pass out. If I do...

I have a similar feeling when I haven't expressed myself adequately to a person and I feel that communication with them just went wrong. That's when I try to clear things up. Breaking up always feels bad. Moving on, getting a new hobby or even talking to her again after a while just to tell her it's over but you don't hate her and appreciated the good times, can help put your mind at rest. Either way, you now have a void that needs filling.

I do the same thing, it does not even have to be my boyfriend sometimes I keep replaying the same conversation in my head over and over. It definitely seems like a problem. I am on a mild antidepressant. I suppose you could try various relaxation techniques deep breaths, guided imaginary, a warm bath.
