Just go to bed and wake up when you want it.
If you feel so, it's because your body needs it.
No matter why. Even if you are depressed, your body asks to sleep to recover.
It can be also delicious to stay in bed (the best place for dreams, meditation and love). The only problem is how conformist people think about it. And if it causes problems to your job, the problem is the job, not your body...

Yeah I feel the same. Except I need like 12 hours sleep to be able to wake up.

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with depression and just not having a reason to get up... but then of course once you are up you don't want to go back.

maybe its just something you have to talk to a counselor or seeing a doctor, It could be deeper than you think

Yeah. It's normal. You're just not a morning person. Though,it could be because you dont want to face the day. Like school, boyfriend, parents, etc.

I am the same way. I'm on pills for the depression too. I just can't go to sleep before 6-8 in the morning. All my jobs i've had were at nights only. Now,that's not my excuses anymore. Haven't work for couple of yrs. I can even go without the sleep from anywhere 3-4 days & I guess, I get goofy and excited after that. And when I do finally sleep, I can only to sleep only 4-6 hrs. My counselor, thinks that deep down, that I'm afraid to sleep, because of night mares I've had, and that is also, why I wake up screaming. I don't that's true or not. Although, one good thing about not sleeping at night, I get lot of my work done. Like, bills, clean, search/play games online, and can make calls without being put on hold forever. Plus, durring the day, I can focus on things that doesn't have due dates or deadlines. Like: have fun, talk to people, socialize, visit friends. Stress Free.

I never sleep,it's normal. I could never sleep..it's so weird. But I always try to watch a boring movie or listen to soft music. Lol,and keep the volume low,but it should help,I never tried it in forever. But maybe you should.
    I hope this works,and if it don't I'm sorry,try taking sleeping pills. <3

I am the same way and I have severe depression that I am being treated for. There's this great stuff called melatonin that u can get at the drug store to help u sleep. It's all natural, I use it. I guess that's what the brain produces when it wants to sleep so this will give u a boost of it.

I'm kind of the same I hate sleep I really do but when I'm asleep I hate getting up. It doesn't make any sense at all. Lia123 can possibly be right it depends on the person though not everyone has the same reaction to drugs or any other stuff.

oh and i have to disagree with the other comment- don't smoke anything.. studies show that it makes anxiety, depression, and basically everything else much worse

I feel like this all the time, you aren't alone. I have been diagnosed with depression and see someone for it though- probably wouldn't hurt to get your situation checked out.. it's rough to have those ups and downs

OMG, I am the exact same way! Except that my mom doesn't pull me out of bed, since I now live with my husband, lol. But I know how you feel! I'm like that every day, and it sucks!!

My sleeping is terrible. I used to smoke alot of drugs which didn't help and used to work in Nightclub promotion which was at nights...and even 3 years after that job I still cant get off.
I end up going to bed at like 4am, then have to get up at 8 to drop my son at school. Its hell, and I dont know why I do it.

So, yes...it is normal in the way that its a problem so many people have (I remember at university, NOBODY slept at night and EVERYBODY slept all day lol). However, its something that can really start to fuck things up and there are alot of things you can do.

Don't drink any caffine after 5PM (inc Tea. Dunno if your British, but I find that one hard!). Take a hot bath before bed. There is also this great stuff called 'Rescue Remedy' that is available online which you drop on your tongue and its relaxes you alot. Or you could try smoking dope (short term only...long term will fuck your sleep even more)

If it gets really bad go and see your doctor and explain the situation. If its something that happens every night then he/she might prescribe you with some sleeping meds. I have used these before, work like a dream. Almost too good. I would reccoment actually only taking half a sleeping pill if you want to make sure you are awake in the morning.

    Hope that helped :-)

Dude, you've gotta fight the force field!

Lol, yes, I'm sort of similar. Normally, waking up involves me half waking up, trying to sit up and flopping back down, face down. I fall asleep again for a few minutes and struggle out of bed.

Unless...you meant that there really IS a force field there.
