Is it normal to never sit on a toilet seat?

I recently moved to China and almost all of their toilets are squat potties. At first I was put off by this but I came around quickly b/c it is SO much more sanitary! You don't touch anything!

Shit dude i dont even use the bath. I just go right where i am. I cant tell how many times ive been arrested for takeing a shit or piss in public

I can't even remember the last time I sat on a toilet, not at home either, I share bathroom with family still won't sit on it. Only the few times I had my own bathroom did I ever sit down.

Personally I do that in public washrooms. Believe it or not people, it is possible to catch an STD from a toilet. At home though, I know who sits there so I'll seat on the seat.

Public toilets are nasty. Most have those little paper thingys so you can cover the seat, but that's only marginally helpful. I really don't like sitting on them unless it's, umm, an emergency.

I never ever ever sit on public toilets, I never will it is just nasty, the thought of strangers bums touching it and doing what not to it. However I don't mind sitting on my homes or friends homes toilets.

it may not be normal, but its normal to me. I hardly sit on th etoilet either. in public and at friends and fams, never. and at home it depends on my mood. if i know someone just used it, NO! if i wipe it of the time im squatting.

I only do that in public bathrooms. I hate when people come into my home that I keep immaculately clean and the hover. I hate it!!! I clean my toilets before guests come and hate that they make my toilet more dirty from possibly spraying or sprinkling on the seat.. It's so disrespectul! I am probably more OCD when it comes to cleanliness too.. Hence always having a super clean toilet.

You know, a toilet seat is cleaner than the door handle, the sink, the soap dispenser... Think about it! Their butts are inside their pants all day and the part where the poo comes out never even touches the toilet!
