Is it normal to never have had a valentine.?

I never gave out anything for Valentines day in my life..I have some vague recollection of maybe some girl giving me a card or something in third grade....but I dont remember me giving her any....I did live with someone for a few months one time but not around Valentines Day...I am now 48 urs. old and have never given out a valentines gift in my life..I am a man btw...is it normal ?

    Yeah Valenties day is a load of bollocks. One special day? why 1 day to show your love?

      you show your love all year round, good point. But I think its fun to get into the romantic spirit of the occasion. I like to celebrate all traditional event days on the calender, it gives the year some nicely themed variety.

    I never got a Valentine either. 7 years ago in middle school or something, there was this thing where you spend $1 to buy a flower and a card for someone and write a note to them so they will receive it at 7th period, and all my friends gave those to me, and I gave the flowers to them, but never got 1 from a guy. Sadly :/

    Me neither, really... just in elementary school cause they made it mandatory to buy enough for the whole class, so no one was left out. I remember having to write 30 something little envelopes every valentine's eve. whatever, I was just in it for the candy =D

    It's a holiday built from Hallmark greeting cards. Don't feel like you're missing out on the holiday. Everyday should be Valentine's day with whomever you love. Normal.

    What wouldn't be normal is if you never gave out anything for a really important day like Christmas, a birthday or on a unique romantic occasion, but Valentine's Day has hardly any importance by itself and is merely advertised that much, so people feel obliged to buy something.
