Is it normal to never have been on a date at age 15?

It's my little brother. I think its because he's shy and kind of a selfish dick when you get to know him, but he's never been on a date in his life, not even to a high school dance. He doesn't even keep in touch with any girls. Only two times has he ever liked a girl and talked to her often, but that's because they started talking to him first. He's never kissed a girl. He feels like a loser, and no, he's not gay or ugly. I also think that my parents trying to control his life and never letting him get out has something to do with it. It's not like he's a loser around guys. He does sports and has friends. He does Boy Scouts which my parents make him do. He's kind of self concious about being a Boy Scout, but he's kind of gotten over it. So... IIN?

    Yea dude, nothing to worry about, he'll be fine, at 15 it's nothing to stress, If he's 25 and nothing has changes then...maybe it's about that time to throw him in eharmony haha

    Plenty of people don't date far out of highs school (including myself). I promise you, there is nothing wrong with your situation.

    Haha I didn't have my first kiss til 18 and I'm 23 now and still a virgin and never been in a relationship.

    i had my first kiss wen i was 14 with a hot girl and guess wat i threw up on the spot it turned bad but u know wat now im 19 i hv no gf but im cul wth it

    I also look better than most average guys so im really lucky. and all this happened this year :) im 16, im sure ur bros normal cuz i suck at approaching girls

    My little brother is 15 as well and he's never really been on a date. He was asked to go to a dance by a girl but they didn't go to dinner or anything because her parents were protective. Personally, I'm glad he's not dating because girls can be way too much (I know, I am one) especially as teenagers. I remember in high school girls being quite manipulative with their boyfriends and everyone was a bit immature, it's just how you are as a teen in relationships; too many emotions going on. Your little bro is normal to me and honestly I'd be happy if I were you, he'll be dating soon enough and then you'll be worrying about whether or not the chick he’s with is decent.

    It's perfectly normal that he's never been on a date. Your brother might want to look into being more outgoing with the female population, but having never been in a relationship isn't a problem in and of itself.

    The only real problem I see is that your parents might be a bit too controlling. If you're comfortable doing so, maybe you should talk to them about letting your brother have a bit more freedom?

    It's a little weird for parents not to let their son date at 15, but it's not unusual not to have been on a date at that age.
