Is it normal to never be enthused by other peoples excitment

It just seems so hard to express or feel excitement while talking to other people. I don't know if its just that im not interested or I just have a different way of expressing myself..but people always seem to laugh at the way I respond to them, usually by mocking me in a dull tone. Do other people have trouble having genuine enthusiasm while in conversation?

Totally normal. I get this way sometimes too.

I hang around people who get high and like to talk bullsh!t about the future, and hearing the same plans/no action speeches every other night turns me off.

There are also people who don't smoke who get pumped when they should be bored. I'd say you're normal. Be proud of your discretion, it's a breath of fresh air in a world of overstimulated kids on meth pills.

Totally normal, I laugh when my friends say something but most of the time it's not genuine real laughter

Yes its normal...but its not very good for your social life. (I know from personal experience. People call me "dull" and "boring.")

I find it hard to give an enthusiastic reply when I'm not that psyched or happy about whatever the topic is on, so I always give this fake half ass laugh and the person I'm talking to repeats it to me..

    "One man's /woman's meat is another man's / woman's poison"....
Not all interests of other persons are of THAT to ourselves....
Kids get carried away on these so called rock groups etc.... To me they are just a lot of noise - it all depends on your interests and situations...
What I enjoy is not what one might call the "norm" - being a long time married crossdresser as I am, and there are tons out there who would not agree one iota, nor understand or appreciate, so "t'is all in the eye of the beholder", n'est pas..?
