Is it normal to need to eat a lot of protein?

I eat a lot of eggs, chicken, meat, pig. I have to eat protein constantly or else I am hungry. I checked the food chart and it says you are not suppose to eat a lot of protein. However if I do not I am still hungry. I eat protein with every meal. Is this normal that I eat this much of it?

While protein is good for the body you can't actually store it so having excess is completely pointless and if you have too much it possibly could lead to problems like kidney stones and bone development.

Too much protein isn't good for your kidneys. Maybe you don't eat enough fiber? Try increasing your fiber intake though whole grains, fruit and vegies. They can help you feel full for longer.

Try and limit it, because yes protein is essential. In large quantities can cause some serious damage. Unless, you want to self-destruct yourself then eat protein for breakfast, lunch and dinner!

    • Well I only eat it because it is the only thing that makes the hunger go away. If I do not eat protein I just stay hungry. Just the think is even when I do not do a lot I am still always really hungry.

Maybe you can talk to a nutritionist to figure out a meal plan that works for you. Eating protein all the time is hazardous to your health. Try bringing snacks throughout the day with you to fill you up until your next meal. But depending on if you are a teen or not maybe being hungry all the time can be explained.
