Sorry, but that is the stupidest thing I have heard. Imagine what other kids will call it at school, be kind to your child and don't place it in such an awkward position due to your selfish need to have a child with a different and/or individual name... Poor kid.

You might as well name your kid Shoelace, or Rock Salt, or Dick Cheese.

    Why not right?!

Whether your black or white why the hell would you name your kid that anyway ????? I'm sorry but black, white, Italian, French, Indian name etc don't pick a ghetto name. The poor kid has to deal with that name through out it's life.

I see this was asked a while back. I sure hope you didn't name your child that. I hope NO ONE names their child that name. People are giving their children enough stupid names now days. IDK why people think they are "so cool" by giving their kid a unique name. It's not cool AT ALL. It's ignorant. Why give your child such a stupid name they are going to have to live with for the rest of their life?

I laughed when I saw this. Naming your child a ghetto name, regardless of your ethnicity, is a fucking terrible idea.

There was a woman at the church I used to go to. She was a Caucasian Southerner and she had a ghetto name. She was probably somewhere in her 60's and she had an older sister, who also had a ghetto name. So, to answer your question, yes, this does happen. However, that doesn't mean that it is normal.

No way! Think about how this will negatively impact your child through its life. The risk of being bullied, the child having a hard time learning to spell it, the child being least likely to get a job and so on.

what a dimwitted racist POS... wonder if all Afro American names are classed as 'ghetto' names by this twat...

you are giving her that name to see how long she will live before she starts taking drugs because her mom gave her a name that excluded her from the world right?

That's great if the kid never aged past 7.

    Jr high will be ridicule.
University prof's won't get over it (not to mention her degree cert. will be crowded).
And how's she going to fit her name on a tag, or even introduce herself professionally, if she becomes an executive some day?

People don't put any thought into kid's names now. I know a lot of ridiculous names in my courses right now, I really pity them.

I like tht name but I think u should reconsider. Life is hard enough. Don't give her peers anything to single her out with.

  • You are going to give your child what you call a "ghetto" name? What for?

What is your reason for naming your child in a manner that you call "ghetto"? Some people name their children for shits and giggles; not thinking about (or caring about) how that name might impact upon their child during it's formative years. People are still racist; hate-filled, ignorant, classicist, elitist, and judgmental. Give your child a name indicative of your culture, is my advice. If it wants to change it's name to "Laquandisha" when it becomes old enough to do so, so be it.

well, you have to remember that whatever you name your child, they'll be stuck with that name forever. you should probably name her something a bit easier to spell/pronounce.

You might as well have the middle name be "Fucktard" because that first name is reDICKulous! Come on... Why O why do you want to torture your unborn child? Think about the years of pain and anger that child will have to endure with a name like that! You are a cruel and mean Mama. You don't deserve to have a child if all you are going to do is be selfish and name it some bullshit ghettofabulous mini-schnauzer dogs name. Get a grip!

You took my idea!! Purpdrinksha is another one.

OP, please dont name your child that. Kids and adults can be so cruel with odd names.

    Its a joke, right??

Your child will most likely want a name change, so why bother naming em that.

The only thing that matters when naming a child is how that name will impact on the child throughout their life. I have a name which is strongly identified with my nationality. It doesn't particularly bother me. I was actually going to be named something which would strongly identify me as an Israeli. And I wouldn't have minded that, either.
