Is it normal to miss the white stripes this much?!

I say White Stripes, I kinda mean Jack White. It's been well over a month since they have split up and I am genuinely heart broken =( I am so in awe of Jack White, what a pure natural talent and there is nothing in todays music that compares! I must admit I prefer the older more chilled "folk" music they did (I say folk as I find it a bit hard to stick in a genre) but I kinda want to find another band to adore as all the music I love is about 50 years old or the band has split up lol, the closest I have got is The Civil Wars (who are amazing) but it's just not the same is it?
All I have been doing recently is playing their albums on repeat =/ it's like I'm mourning or something it's crazy! Is this normal? I seriously think he's one of the most inspirational, unique, talented human beings to walk this earth and if he doesn't continue to make music I fear my world will be a sad place =(

    Well it's not like they had any new albums recently. They might as awell have broken up after the Icky Thump tour.

        True BUT not everyone brings out albums all the time, in their 14 year career they only had 6 albums out. They were just unique, there wont be anyone like them =(
