Is it normal to miss that 'time of the month'?

My period was supposed to appear about 3 weeks ago, but it still hasn't arrived. I'm both happy and worried at the same time.

Happy, because it's torture that us women have to suffer. (Why couldn't men have this damn monthly visitor?)

Worried, because my periods are usually never late or late by 1-2 days max.

I really do NOT want to go to the doctor because, assuming that the missing period is natural, he would be pissed if the problem turned out to be nothing (he's a really impatient guy).

If it isn't normal, then I'll consider going to the doctor. And before any of you answer, I am NOT pregnant. I am a virgin. Also, I am still young, so I'm pretty sure it isn't menopause either. I've been having a lot of discharge, if that is even remotely important.

IIN?

Your doctor gets angry at you when you go to see him but he can't find anything wrong? Really? It's HIS job to figure out if something is wrong with you, not YOURS. That's what he gets paid to do!

You need to find a new doctor. This guy sounds awful.

Agreed, your doctor is a douche. Most doctors would rather see you early to prevent a bigger problem then catch it late and have to deal with the consequences.

      Find a new doctor.

The main reasons my period comes late are:

    a) stress
    b) not being home (my period usually starts on the weekend when I don't have to leave)
    c) being around other females more or less often

Mine is late this month because I've been going out more often and I've had a lot to do, so it's kind of all of the above for me right now. Periods seem to prefer routine.

I often do. There have been times in the past where I haven't gotten my period for ten weeks straight. I think it has to do with my weight and hormonal imbalances, which can be caused by a variety of things... I was weighed earlier in this month and was 40.75 kilograms which translates to 80 pounds. I haven't had my period in a few weeks. If it concerns you, you can see a doctor.

Oh, Shuggah-buns! If I eat the cookies, then whatever shall I do with all of my authentic German Marzipan? I can't put those bars and torte in the corner. I can't lock them up in a closet. Because, eventually their charismatic ways will get to me and give me tastegasms.

I don't keep track of my periods. I just wear pads every day and I have no idea how that menstrual cycle thingy is supposed to work :(

It could be normal, especially if your are active or dieting.

Sometimes it won't be a perfect 2 weeks. 3 weeks is still normal. A month and I'd be worried.
