if i hang out with someone too much sometimes i pick up their mannerisms and mimmick them as well.
Sometimes a friend's (or anyone else's, can also be a book/movie character for example) personalities are used (without us noticing it right away) as some sorts of "interfaces" toward certain situations. It's like mini "raw-models" used selectively per situation.
I do this too. I find myself saying stuff that they say, mannerisms, things like that. I think it's an adaptation thing on some biological psychological level.
STOP TRYNA BE SOMEONE YOUR NOT plus it would get on ur mates nerves me rekons son!
I hate when people do this, I don't see how people can. I have a friend who acts one way around just me, then his personality changes when another friend joins the group. It's the definition of a SHEEP. SHEEP SHEEP SHEEP.
It's actually pretty normal, I just don't understand how people can settle acting this way. Be yourself for fuck sakes.
I have found myself guilty of this MY WHOLE LIFE. i dont know why i do it. I remember it used to really irritate my friend in year 9, but i tried to explain it as wanting to mimic something they said/did/a behaviour of theirs so i wouldn't forget it.
It's almost like me paying them a compliment, reflecting them, showing affection. Hmm. Strange isn't it?
NO, my best friend does that and it drives me up the wall insane.
It's dumb.
