Is it normal to medicate before getting sick?
Suppose your bf or gf has a cold and you two live together, so there's a chance you will get it.
Now I have a cold, had a sore throat now a runny nose, when it comes to my immune system, I let it do it's thing unless I'm about to die. My boyfriends not even sick and he makes himself a cup of neocitran... last time we both got sick he ended up needing penicillin [he was drinking like 2-3 cups of neocitran/ day... I was resting and trying to breath through my nose] when I got better on my own, slow, but steady recovery... but I mean come on... or am I the only person who has been brought up in an anti-meds family; don't get me wrong I take advil when I get cramps or headaches, and antipyretics if a high fever won't go down, and yes if if blood is coming out when it shouldn't I get pills. At the point I'm at though, low fever, runny nose... I feel like the occasional ice cube, keeping myself cool is enough... I'm not too badly congested I can't breath... but anyway the question:
is it normal to preemptively medicate?
