I don't understand this comment, and I definitely do not understand what your parents have to do with your masturbation.
Masturbation isn't harmful, physically or psychologically, and you shouldn't pay any attention to anyone who says it is. Anyone who says crap like that is only demonstrating that they're ignorant and don't have a healthy attitude towards sex.
Many people - particularly guys your age - masturbate more than once a day. I know I did, and I kept it up for years, even when I was in sexual relationships. It didn't damage my physically and it didn't mess up my brain or turn me into a raving sex maniac.
If masturbating once a day feels like what you need to relieve sexual tension, then that's normal for you and that's fine.
However, your OP suggests that you secretly masturbate while looking at another person. If you're a guy, that's seriously creepy and very risky. If you're female, it's still risky, but this is something I have double standards on, and I don't think it's anywhere near as creepy as it would be if you were a guy.
