Is it normal to make troll posts mocking other posts?

I saw someone else doing this a while back and recently I submitted one myself mocking all the recent Ted Bundy posts asking a ridiculous question regarding if he were an astronaut. Unfortunately it was denied.
Do other people make posts pretending to be someone else?

    Yeah, I did one a couple of years ago. I made a post mocking someone's, rather cranky, profile. It didn't go over so well. hehehe
