Is it normal to make code names for your crushes?

For example I call one of my crushes halo, and so whenever my freinds and I talk about him we always call him halo, instead of his actual name.

    Whenever I have a really close friend we end up sort of creating our own little code language. I think what you are doing is at least common if not normal.
