Is it normal to love someone who is 13 years older

um. there is this guy who is 13 years older than me. he is very nice to me. i know he is gay but there is something about him that makes me feel so attracted to him. i try not to show any signs of love to him cause i'm afraid that he'll get mad or something and i wont have the close friendship we're having. many people ask me out, but i can't. there is this guy i love out there. is this normal. what should i do?

  • Well if you are not of his sexual orientation (gay) then that is the deal breaker and matters a whole lot more than the age difference.

Let it go. See guys who are asking you out.

BTW - it is OK to have a crush on someone who is gay/lesbian. But unless you are too - it ain't going nowhere.

      Damn straight.
I'm awful at puns, I know.

Developing feelings for someone despite a relatively large age gap is normal as is crushing on someone who just wouldn't feel the same way. It just sucks when you know that nothing can happen from it. You've got to let it go. Love which can be reciprocated is infinitely better than unrequited love.

You of 2 options. the easy one is to forget him. the hard one is to change his sexuality and then get him to love you. take your pick

It's normal to have feelings for someone in a not so mutual way.
But sweetie, infatuation and love is very different. Now noone knows how you feel but yourself. But I promise you that if you think your head over heels in love now, you have no idea how amazing it is when the other person feels the same way.
So why sell yourself short for a strong crush?
It's okay to be attracted to someone, or have a crush. But don't ever hold yourself back for someone else who isn't interested, because you could be missing out on someone even better than your imagination who can actually love you just as much back.

My mum and dad are 15 years apart but they're happy. Good Luck.
