I'm in love with this guy. I love his kids, mom, and family. I am so extremely comfortable when I am with him or around his family. The only problem is that he says his last relationship (wife-ex), was horrible and she was very abusive; therefore, he has shut himself off emotionally. He says he enjoys being with me, but he can't give me what I am looking for. Is this normal? Or should I just get out?

      Thank you for your kind words. I do truly love him and I plan on waiting for him. Everyone around me tells me to just let him go because they see how torn up I am about it. It would just kill me if I did wait longer and he never did come around. It's killing me now. I feel lost when I'm not with him.

        I know how you feel. I'm in love with a girl who doesn't feel the same way about me, and ever since I told her our friendship hasn't even been the same. We used to talk all the time, and now we rarely do. I have a tiny suspicion that she might like me because she admitted to looking at our old messages quite often. I'm waiting for her too, because she makes my life and I don't want to be with anyone else.

      We have known each other for 26 years, but we have been together intimately for 3 months. That is what I am hoping, that giving him more time would make him come around. I know he cares he just can't seem to admit it, but it's killing me in the mean time especially when he tells me that he can't give me what I want

    It's after that I realised that I didn't even love this guy but was just desperate to have a boyfriend.
