Is it normal to love someone else when in a long term relationship?

is it normal to love someone else, romantically, while you’re in a serious relationship? i love someone else and i’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years, i still love my boy, but it would break his heart for me to tell him i have feelings for someone else.

It happens. It is natural to have a physical attraction and even an emotional attraction to someone else while in a committed relationship. The key is to not act on it if you value your first relationship. If you can't, you should just stay single until you can. Don't hurt someone and try and justify it.

Maybe it's really more like just a crush or infatuation? Love is a big word to just be flinging around like a chimpanzee with a handful of warm poop!

Rose, do you watch/listen to "Your Mom's House" podcast with Tom Segora and Christina Pazitski? I ask not just because they are great comedians, but they often bring some A+ poop talk.

Hmm... that sounds rather good. I've never heard of them, but good poop talk is always a plus in my book!

You tend to crave the things you don't get from an LDR. I am currently in a LDR, and it ain't easy. You tend to start looking for someone who can physically be there with you, but if there is any hope of getting out of the LDR, resist the urge.

Remember that wanting is often sweeter than having. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. You know what I am getting at? Stay with what you have if your're happy. It's okay to fantasize but don't act on it.
