Is it normal to love some one over seas by pictures and texting?

I am a single father of three, recently divorced and met a lady on a dating sight she is from Africa, we been chatting back and forth sending pictures for 9 months now. She wants me to come over and marry her so that I can start her legalization to bring her to the states. Is she scamming me or is she for real? I really love her and are seriously thinking about doing this!

    Before even thinking about going;

    1)Video-chat with her. Ever seen Catfish on MTV? It's way more common than you think.
    Make sure she is who she claims to be.

    2) You have only talked through text for nine months, you do not know if you want to marry her just yet. I'd visit, maybe stay for a couple of weeks and then go back and continue getting to know her better.

    If you wait with marriage you make sure she is not just using you.
    Suggest you come live with her in Africa, see the reaction.

    I think it's perfectly normal to be in love, but you've never met her, so I'd hold off on the marriage for a little longer. Especially since there is a chance you're being scammed. She could just be using you for legalization. Sounds a little sketchy, just be careful. I wish you the best of luck, hope all works out well :)
