Is it normal to love peanut butter as much as i do?

You have to understand, when I say I love peanut butter, I really mean it. I eat it on everything. Pizza, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Cereal, I put it in my Ramen noodles, Waffles, Breakfast Bars, Granola Bars, Pop Tarts, if I make a sandwich it has peanut butter on it regardless of the other ingredients. Even tuna salad. So, like I said, everything.

That's not so bad 10
That's disgusting 23
I love peanut butter too! 12
I don't care about your problems 11

One of my best friends went through a phase where she would eat a ketchup and peanut butter sandwich as a snack after school. She loved them. I could not fathom how it must have tasted.. Maybe you should try it.

I thought I'd be able to say that I love it more. Apparently not. I will share something delicious. They say you can't polish a turd, however, take an unfrosted strawberry poptart and put nutella on it.

My dad says "you can't shine shit"...and I've heard 'can't polish a turd' before too. Great saying!!

Hey, you know what? I just remembered a Mythbusters episode in which they did, or attempted to, polish turds.

From having cows, I know dried shit can get very shiny. The cows would get their liquid shit in their tails and the shit would dry, but from them swishing their tails around, it literally polished the shit. Their tails would sometimes look like someone with dreads with some kind of beads or shells dangling from it.

Ugggh, that now reminds me of all the times I've got smacked across the face with a tail soaked in liquid shit.

Hhahahaa I guess u can polish turds then. I didn't see that episode. I watched that show for a while. And I just happen to have dreadlocks with beads :o now I'll think of shitty cow tail dingleberries when I see my hair!

:) I actually said that in court, too. Our old, scumbag landlords were trying to sue us for damages that we didn't do. I always kept that dump as clean as it could be! So ya, I used that line in front of the judge :D

Oh yeah, I've done that. I like to melt down peanut butter and nutella and mix them and use that too. Something else that is pretty good and kinda odd is putting nutella or even strawberry jam or jelly on a hot dog bun along with a hot dog of course and some swiss cheese. It's better if the hot dog is cooked in a skillet.

I'm freaked out by hotdogs, but I'll occasionally eat one. I'd be willing to try your concoction. And I thought peanutbutter and nutella would be awesome together, but they sort of cancel each other out, so I keep them seperate now

I don't believe peanut butter is considered a liquid.. when it's heated up, yes, but not at room temperature.

So i guess what you mean is 'solid gold', but that lacks the imagery you were trying to convey!

      • ArrogantBastard

Actually it is considered a semi-solid to most but according to the TSA peanut butter is a liquid. So you're both right in some respect.

        • NothingxCrazy

I researched it and I understood that it is a solid at room temperature, but with low viscosity. When heated, it becomes a true liquid.

          Maybe I read false information.

Well not entirely, viscosity measures the thickness of a liquid. So yeah I guess peanut butter has a low viscosity but since viscosity only measure the thickness of liquids then whoever wrote what you read wasn't all that accurate. That's why most just say semi-solid I guess.

Alright, It can be a liquid or a solid depending on temperature.

I have to state that the majority of you like peanut butter. But you are going to have to put me in the "FREAKO" catagory, because I am like the creator of this thread, I AM A PEANUT BUTTER JUNKIE. Anything that would be good with it then it is there. Main combination is peanut butter, strawberry/bleuberry jam, chocolate ice cream topping and a sliced banana.

If you ever come around to my house, you can taste some peanut butter bread that I sometimes make. It looks like bread, tastes like peanut butter. It's nice stuff.

It's completely my own invention so unless I put a recipe out there, you won't find it. But, by God, it's good. It's really, really, really good. And if you have it with bramble jelly, it's like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, just that the peanut butter is in the bread.

    • Yum.

      Would you share the recipe?

I don't really have one because it's my own recipe and I just do it by eye. For a standard size loaf, you put about 30-40% of a tub of peanut butter in and then some extra flour to soak up the oil and bring it back to the same texture as standard dough.

When you take it out of the oven, it looks a bit greasy but it's fine when it cools. It looks weirdly brown too, but it tastes so, so good. It's really sweet and nutty. It tastes so much like peanut butter. It's almost like a cake instead of bread.

It's best to treat it as cake. It doesn't toast well but if you use it in a trifle or as the "pastry" in a summer pudding, it's just amazing. Kind of nice with sweet sandwiches too like jam/jelly, or just with butter.

I'm actually making myself hungry for it now.

        • So, it is only peanut butter and flour? Nothing else? Can you use organic or old-fashioned peanut butter? How hot does the oven have to be?

Your description made my stomach growl.

Nah, it's a standard bread recipe so you need the yeast, dash of salt, a little milk, but you leave the sugar and oil out because the peanut butter feeds the yeast. You kind of have to use white flour too, sadly. It doesn't work that well with wholemeal.

I go half a kilo of flour, half a pint of water, couple of teaspoons of salt, packet of fast yeast or a quarter of an ounce if you get it in a tub. About the same weight if you're lucky enough to keep live yeast.

And if you really want to up the cakiness, three tablespoons of honey. But at that point, it's really not bread any more. It is delicious, though.

I've never done it with organic peanut butter. It might work, though. Oh, and for cooking I tend to do it slightly cooler and slightly shorter than a normal loaf, otherwise the sugar starts to burn. So something like 190C for 20 minutes.

Now I'm really, really hungry for it.

Blah! I forgot. You also need a couple of teaspoons of dried milk powder, or replace some of the water with milk. About two tablespoons.
