Is it normal to love my best friend?

Yeah, I love her, and I am a girl, too. I don't know how it happened.. it's just that.. i love absolutely everything about her! Her sarcasm, her quietness, her gorgeous face, her punk haircut, her soft hands. When she hugs me or takes my hand, i really feel on top of the world. She's so warm and calm and just so so so sweet. And when we hang ot with other girls, i am jealous of them, but i don't know why, cause i'm pretty sure she's straight. Anyway, the only thing I want to know is - is it normal to have such feelings for my best friend?

        That's not true. Sexuality is a spectrum for both guys and girls. There are girls at both ends of the scales - declaring all to be bisexual is as ignorant as declaring all to be straight or gay.

    I'm a girl and I feel the exact same way about my best friend that is a girl also. She fits your description of your best friend perfectly, too. I finally got up the courage to tell her and she took it well. I didn't really expect her to but she did and our friendship hasn't changed that much at all. She said she doesn't like me in a romantic way, but after I told her that I had feelings for her she started being even more . . . intimate, I guess you could say. She touches me a lot more, like my shoulders, back, or hands. She is torturing me by doing this and I think that was her intent. It is completely normal to fall in love with your best friend no matter what people say. It happens everyday and you can't controll it. Take the chance and tell her how you feel if y'all really are very close friends. I'm still having trouble with my situation but I wanted to try and ease your conscience about your situation.     I fell for my friend when I was at school, made the mistake of telling her and she used it to her advantage as she knew i'd do anything for her :( she just used me and messed with my heart.

    Everybody's different though, you never know she might feel the same way :)

    it might be love or you might be just be taking it for smoething else. the same thing is happening to me, but he's a guy. these things are always very difficult to handle, even more if she is a she. just make sure she won't freak out if you tell her. and , by the way, a friendship is always the best kind of relationship. just a thought.

    this is exactly what i feel like! my best friend is straight too. until now i have been sure im completely straight and never thought about any other girls like this. i know that i want to end up with a guy and i am crushing on a few now but im still in this situation too :/
