I don't exactly despise humanity, but I think humans are greedy, egotistic, and aggressive by nature. Some individuals are exceptions and truly good people.

So I guess I'm the opposite.

You don't have to love everyone.

The idea of a "collective" is a farce. At least, that's what I believe. You don't have to love the individual like a lover... but you should (IMHO) "love" the individual with a pure kindness.

For example: I have no idea who you people are, but I don't hate you. I don't love you either, but I will treat you with a kindness that could be mistaken for love.

And for me, even though I am NOT religious, it all boils down to the "Golden Rule" or the "Middle Path".

You mean you love people but sometimes hate the thoughts in their minds. Desire causes people to be like that. Dislike the cause not the symptom

Interesting the amount of people that dislike humanity. I, personally, feel pretty optimistic about us. It's been a long road littered with mistakes but I think we're getting better. We've more mistakes to make and lessons to learn but I think we're like two steps forward, one step back. We'll get there.... eventually. Might take a cataclysm, or another world war, but I think we'll get there. I like humanity as a whole - and being human. Obviously I'm in the minority.

Since you are technically an individual you should be hating yourself more than any other person.Collectivism cannot be separated completely from individualism. Not without mechanical tools.

I don't know if it's normal but I'm the polar opposite.
I hate people. I love individuals.
I see every person as part of one big, sad mass of jackassery unless/until they prove to me otherwise, afterwhich, I adore them for nothing more than the fact that they're not a simple-minded herd animal.
Hey, I know I'm not easy to please, but if you can do it I cherish you forever.

  • I don't hate individuals, I definetly don't hate humanity as a species.
I don't hate individuals, I just see most individuals to be all the things you explaines them to be, so no point in me showing any emotion towards such people, even if it's hate.

The human race is capable of so much, we let groups of people get in power and control us, making it hard to unite as a species and not just as countrymen.
One day we could inite fully, I doubt any of us will be around when it happens though.
