Honey that's not normal! You say you love this guy but HE'S HURTING YOU!!!! It's most likely that your scared of this guy or that your intimidated by him so you have convinced yourself that you love him. You can love him, but you wouldn't be respecting yourself. You can learn to love anyone, why love someone who doesn't love you back the way he should? It makes you look like you are desperate and have low self esteem. Move on girl. Every girl deserves a loving man, and most certainly not abuse!
