Is it normal to love gypsy music?

I like a lot of different types of music, but to me there is no genre more passionate than gypsy music. You can hear so many different influences and styles in their playing. A single song can convey so much suffering, yet hope, strength and joy. It is a journey not just through their history of struggling and marginalization but also universal human emotions. As soon as I hear it, it goes right to my core. There is an immediacy and authenticity that few other genres can match (maybe the blues) I guess what I'm really asking is does anyone feel the same way?
