I think people missed the facetiousness of the comment there, but that only goes to show how credible a comment it is. Some people would genuinely write that in all seriousness :/
How sad that you are ashamed. Ashamed of the actions of others simply because they share an approximate skin tone and possibly a recent ancestry.
All human civilisations have past-attrocities in their history. Ethnicity isn't a reasonable basis for discrimination. You shouldn't feel guilt because you look similar to some other people who did bad things.
I think many of us know that in an ideal world one wouldn't be ashamed of race, logically speaking you can't choose, but I often feel the same as the previous two commenters. I hate being white, I don't like that our race has such a bad track record and I feel like sometimes that skews people's perceptions of white people today.
You feeling burdened by shame because of other people's actions isn't rational. We're not born to bear the guilt of our ancestors.
Yes this isn't an ideal world, but to accept and assimilate negative and unjust prejudices is to 'give up'; that's no way to strive towards a world at least a little closer to ideal.
Try and think yourself out of such an unhealthy mindset, I'm sure you'll be better of for it :)
I think white guilt got a lot of black guys laid and I'm sure they probably use that as a tactic along with pulling the race card.

the types of men who kept slaves would probably enslave you too.
And just because someone is a slave does make that person automatically good.
if you check the stats, black on white crime is 7 times higher than white on black.
so while you're crying over Tyrone's grand-dad for being a slave, Tyrone is busy stealing, beating, raping and killing whitey.
PS-I'm not white, I'm East Indian and I used to be neutral about blacks and grew to dislike 90% of them because of their petty, vulgar, uncivilized behavior. There's a minority of them who are decent but I really don't care to have any of them in my life.
You and the person above you absolutely disgust me. It is the whites who are responsible for the vast majority of techinlogical and medicinal advancements in history.
No white pride in your heart? Not proud of your heritage? Go move somewhere where you are the minority then. All the minorities have their own lands, choose your favorite.
How do I disgust you?
Yes the world we live in today has been very much shaped by the achievements of white people, but why is this? Why not black people? Why have their race not done anything considered 'important' Because the white people had them in their kitchens and farms working for them, uneducated and without rights.
If black people had just been given rights in the first place and disgusting white people didnt sell them off and 'own' them as slaves, I bet you a lot of the worlds achievements could have been achieved by black people as well.
White people have a history of thinking that they are better than everyone else, and that's still the case today. Why is it disgusting that I feel as if I'm not? How is if disgusting that I'd put myself on a lower level than black people? I don't have 'white pride', I live in a country in which the whole of it got stolen by European people by murder and force. I feel nothing but disgust for my ancestors for they killed something that could have been beautiful.

White people created the civilized world. White people could have left them in Africa, you know, where they come from, where it is a 3rd world shit hole still blanketing the continent.
In fact, without white people bringing black people into our lands they couldn't have benefited from our civilized societies and most importantly, educational system.
It was only after blacks left (or should I say) taken out of their native land that SOME of them thrived off white successors.
Another lesson: Not all whites had slaves in America only a very small percentage of whites back then were slave owners/traders, and those were the wealthy. SOCIETY will have you believe ALL whites or MOST whites were slave owners, FALSE. The majority of whites in the south in that era were poor farmers who couldn't own a slave if they wanted to.
Black people enslave eachother in Africa still to this day, while in America blacks are free.
Another lesson: people only harp on the atrocities of the "evil whites." Why? Because that's all they learn about. In reality, every race has evil people, IN high places.
Go ahead, pick your race, I'll give you a list of their versions disgraceful people, that are much less well known because SOCIETY wants WHITES to hate themselves. And you, and a perfect example of this machine at work.
So yes, you are quite pathetic. So you say you are ashamed to be white? I say I am ashamed you are part of my race.
Our entire human history is permeated by war, violence, rape, famine, oppression, repression, invasion and occupation.
It has also been permeated by creativity, invention, ingenuity, generosity, love and respect.
Why be such a pessimist? Why focus on the former and ignore the latter?
Placing yourself below black people is essentially encouraging a divide - that is to say you are promoting the kind of prejudice that resulted in black people being enslaved during the Transatlantic Slave Trade. If you want to perpetuate racist views then that is your prerogative, but I certainly won't be made to feel guilty about my skin colour.
Loving black people is part of one's personality, so it is completely Normal to Love black people.
I know quite a lot of black people and none of them are dangerous violent animals.

Yes, and it looks like he's a career criminal, because that is not his original arrest date, nor was he living in Spartanburg. I did not know he even got out, he was supposed to be doing an 8 year bid. That's our justice system for you.
