Is it normal to love birthdays but hate being the centre of attention?

I'm not usually at all shy and I love birthdays. I was nearly born on leap day! How awful would that have been!? But I was luckily born on February 28 at three in the afternoon. Anyway, I love birthdays so much that I celebrate it multiple times (having more than one party) and i cry tears of joy at midnight. However, any instance of all attention being focused on me and I squirm and want to hide my head in my hands. I really hated it last year when my family watched me open my presents and recently I've hated having people sing happy birthday. They sang it to me at work and I was mortified. My mum asked if I wanted everyone in my family to sing it and I was like NO! I know that some people are just shy and that's okay, but it somehow seems different for me. I'm 21, by the way. I don't know if age makes any difference? Is this normal?

I think it's normal to hare it more as you get older.

Children are more likely react positively to excessive amounts of attention, adults not.

I hate it too! So much that I would not do anything for my bday until I got of age and singing hbd was played out for anyone my age. I realized I just hate the being center of attention. What I do now is the thing called "not giving a f***".

If I can give anyone any advice #1 Never ever vote for any reason. #2 Never ever work for government #3 stock pile as many weapons as you can while you have the chance. #4 Never ever trust the Government.
One day you will understand what I am talking about...To much to explain to peons at the moment. Either Trust me a real American or the so called "Government".

A little off topic there, but that sounds shitty. That's a lot of money and not allowing him to go on the field trip is just unfair. They should've asked for the payment after they set who will come or not.
The system is very different where I live, and I don't even know which party I would vote for, there are so many, but seven of them have more than the 4% of votes needed to be a part of our parliament. Luckily I turn 18 after the election next year so I wont be able to vote.

This country is great. The government makes it a pile of shit. They love to take your money but when they owe it back to you...its like pulling teeth out of a dinosaur. I paid $380 for my son to go on a field trip payable to the Town...now they say he cannot go because of his grades. Now I am waiting to get my money back, I am a laid off single father and I am pissed. It is like impossible to get it back from them. I hate government so bad I really hope someone bombs the shit out of the congress and White House...I would jump for joy. Lived in this country my whole life...but they are such crooks and thiefs! Totally Outraged at the Town.
