no,it just means that you didn't come out of the house for a pretty long time.
when i was younger i grew emotionally attatched to fictional characters. but eventually i kinda outgrew it.
how old are you? just curious...
In my opinion, anime people are just downright SEXY!! Especially Chad from Bleach and Light Yagami from Deathnote.
Actually, this is a pretty typical thing. It's called being a fangirl/boy. It's more common in girls, and usually younger ones, but it can occur at any age.
Though I HATE using this reference, it's one of the best ones out there, you know those girls who, even before the movies were made, were totally in love with Edward Cullen? Well, they were fangirls of him. And they're usually the ones who will tell you you're not normal for liking and anime character. Truth be told, same thing in both cases, an emotional attachment with a fictional character.
I'm 18, and I'm very guilty of being a fangirl, not only of anime characters, but cartoon characters as well. I think it really has to do with the fact that finding the "perfect" guy is a lot easier when you can imagine that they'll be good to you. Example, when I was younger I was totally in love with Takeru from Digimon, and my friend loved Kouichi from Digimon. We'd write fanfics, and go online and roleplay as our own characters with the Digimon boys. I grew out of this fandom, but realised I loved him so much because he had the perfect personality for me, and since he wasn't real, if I wanted to say he loved me he couldn't say no, or be mean to me.
Besides, anime characters not only usually have personalities that make you love them, but damn do they look good!
So, yes, it's actually a pretty normal thing for any age and gender.
It's normal. I've come to think of some anime characters as hot. But not actually fall in love with them. In my case the more I like an anime character, the more I will want the character to die or get tortured. It's a weird habit of mine.
I can understand cuz they r prettier sexier than the real thing but at the end of the day you're gonna hafta find a reall girl if u want a real relationship
Lol, I have the same problem. I've had a crush on death the kid from soul eater ever since I first saw the show. A lot of people have feelings for some character out there. It's kind of like having a celebrity crush, you don't have the chances but its totally normal.
Not weird at all. If my work taught me anything - it's that people are really disgusting creatures you don't want to deal with. Yeah, police does that to you. And anime characters are usually everything real people aren't, and vice versa. "Love" is not exactly the right term, but admiration and longing for your ideal are perfectly understandable.
it's normal to have a crush on fictional characters, all the more normal to think that the character is sexy, duh they're drawn/CGed to look hotter than any normal person. But falling in love with character?! that's a bit too much. Please don't be like those japanese men that marries their dating sim girlfriends...
I used to be extremely emotionally attached to anime characters, but I outgrew it once I got into live-action movies. Maybe you will too.
Well, real people make these characters.
And if you think about it, if you were going to make a character--say, an attractive character, you would make it your ideal attractive person. You could make the character look exactly the way you wanted it to, act however you wanted it to, even if it was impossible for a real person to be that awesome.
So basically, you're agreeing with the opinion of whoever made that character.
"Waifu" doesn't mean cute, it's just an Engrish version of the word "wife."
I guess it's normal for some people to be more drawn into something that's idealized and controllable like that, and if you consider real people just as unattainable, it begins to make even more sense.
The idea of falling in love with ANYTHING strikes me as odd though. You sicko. :P
I find them sexy, mainly because of the anatomical accuracy... I suppose... But can't say I ever feel in love with one.
Is this what someone means when they say:
"Mai waifu!" ?
youre weird and you probably are one of those greasy weirdos who hiss at you in high school
